Meg Grochowiak

REALTOR® | Co-Founder

Born and raised in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. Meg Grochowiak brings a deep understanding of Chicago and the city’s 77 unique neighborhoods to the Groho Group. She has spent her entire life in Chicago, which positions her as a city expert who knows the city inside and out.

Megan joins her brother Ed as the cofounder of Groho Group after a lifetime of service to communities across Chicago.

As a young adult, Megan spent her summers on Chicago’s lakefront as a Chicago Park District Lifeguard.

She attended high school at St. Scholastica Academy in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. Her formative experiences in Rogers Park’s multiculturally rich community stamped upon her a desire for advocacy, diversity, and equity in urban life. Grochowiak attended DePaul University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Community Service Studies.

Throughout college, Grochowiak worked at the Instituto Progreso Latino in Chicago’s Blue Island neighborhood. There she served underrepresented populations, teaching courses that helped them understand their voting rights, and citizenship eligibility, and gain valuable life skills. Megan quickly became an advocate for those that could not speak for themselves. This led to her earning a Masters's degree in Elementary Education.

Megan spent the last decade working as a teacher in Chicago Public Schools. She understands the complexity of navigating the housing market while looking for the ideal community with a public or private school. Grochowiak is a National Board Certified Teacher and is active in the school district on a leadership level, focusing on initiatives that will improve teacher quality and self-care for students and staff. Megan is also a “Mindfulness Teacher” and certified 200-hour yoga teacher. She currently provides community outreach programs to underserved youth and their families in the East Lakeview neighborhood at Horace Greeley Elementary where she teaches.

Megan joins her brother, Ed, to continue their family’s work in service to their clients and support them through the process of homeownership. With her wealth of knowledge about Chicago’s neighborhoods and schools, Megan can find clients in the community, school, and neighborhood they will call home.
